September 19 - Went with Chris to see "High School Musical" by a Middle School Acting group from her Mineral Springs Magnet Middle School (well there were a couple of ringers from local high schools). Kids, drama teacher (with wrist repaired), other teachers (there were three in the play), parents of the kids, SRO, ticket takers, food servers, and all the rest did a great job on opening might. Chris had said that it would be 7:00 - 8:30. It was closer to 9:30 when we left, but it was truly good to see the very heart-warming story performed by the students at Mineral Springs. They have 6 more performances over the next two weeks to better learn their lines, get the lights synchronized perfectly, and tune those cantankerous mikes. The play (a substitute for the weekly Ron & Chris couple's dinner out) was followed by dessert - at of course, McDonald's....
